Job OverView

This role involves testing and improving software prototypes used in cardiac electrophysiology workflows. The engineer will develop and run test scripts, analyze performance data, and document results. Candidates should have an engineering or computer science background with experience in software/hardware testing and tools like Matlab, Python, or C++. Exposure to medical devices or research environments is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Test software prototypes supporting cardiac electrophysiology workflows using hands-on and emulated testing.
• Collaborate with team members to design and document test workflows.
• Develop and execute testing scripts to evaluate software performance.
• Analyze results, gather user feedback, and prepare detailed technical reports.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred: Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science).
• 0–2 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience testing software/hardware systems.
• Proficiency in Matlab, Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with Linux-based environments.
• Experience with data processing/display tools such as Excel, Minitab, or Matlab.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and interact with customers.
• Basic understanding of cardiac anatomy/physiology (preferred).

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Experience in medical devices or research environments.
• Internship or prior hands-on experience in a similar role.
• Innovative and resourceful; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organization, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make data-driven decisions.
