Role Overview

Join the Active Implantable Systems R&D team to design, develop, and validate firmware test automation systems for Cardiac Rhythm Management and Urology products. Work on software that supports innovative diagnostics and therapies, collaborating with firmware, hardware, and systems engineers. Contribute to high-quality, safety-critical medical device solutions that transform patient care.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and test software in C, C++, C# for testing platforms and complex tools.
• Integrate software with electrical hardware; collaborate with firmware, hardware, and systems teams to optimize solutions.
• Develop and automate verification/validation tests for embedded software/firmware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues; perform root cause analysis.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Prepare design specifications, test plans, and user documentation.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years experience in software development.
• Proficient in C, C++, C#.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with embedded firmware development and RTOS/VxWorks.
• Knowledge of test automation systems for embedded software/firmware.
• Familiarity with safety-critical systems, cybersecurity, Bluetooth, and socket communication.
• Experience working in cross-functional product development teams.
