iROW9 Inc. is hiring experienced Senior or Lead Data Architects to support Chevron’s data-driven transformation. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence data strategy and architecture across a global enterprise.

Job Summary:
As a Senior or Lead Data Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across Chevron’s digital landscape. You’ll be responsible for architecting data collection, transformation, orchestration, and consumption strategies to support AI, citizen developers, and application integrations—primarily within the Azure Data Analytics Platform, but with flexibility across cloud ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and oversee end-to-end data architecture strategy across business units and digital platforms
• Design, model, and implement scalable data warehouses, lakes, and pipelines
• Mentor junior data architects and promote architectural standards across the enterprise
• Ensure data accessibility, interoperability, and cost-effective consumption layers
• Maintain data dictionaries, flow diagrams, and governance frameworks
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Enforce data security, quality, and compliance standards
• Contribute to the evolution of enterprise architecture best practices based on new technologies

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5–15 years of overall experience in data architecture or engineering
• Deep expertise in data modeling (ERDs, Star/Snowflake), warehousing, and integration techniques
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Hadoop, Spark, and Azure Data Lake
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into effective technical data solutions
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and architectural frameworks
• Experience with designing cost-optimized, resilient, and performant data pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Erwin, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure DevOps, Power BI, Python, Spark, R
• Familiarity with Azure AI/ML services, Azure Stream Analytics, and Event Hub
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, IBM Certified Data Architect, or similar
• Knowledge of scripting tools like Ansible and experience with machine learning and analytics
