iROW9 Inc. is hiring a Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support digital platforms at Chevron, enabling secure, scalable, and high-performance environments aligned with global energy transition goals. This is a leadership role suited for a dynamic and technically versatile individual passionate about driving operational excellence and automation at scale.

Job Summary:
As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer, you will drive systemic reliability improvements across subsurface toolsets and product lines. You will work closely with architecture, operations, and development teams to embed SRE practices and ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of Chevron's critical digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of Chevron’s SRE framework and conduct technical maturity assessments
• Provide recommendations and roadmaps to improve SRE adoption and reduce technical debt
• Optimize, automate, and eliminate operational toil across platforms and pipelines
• Mentor agile teams on observability, monitoring, and reliability practices, including setting SLOs, SLIs, SLAs, and error budgets
• Troubleshoot system issues, lead postmortems, and drive incident resolution efforts
• Collaborate across digital platforms, architecture teams, and IT Operations to enhance system reliability
• Ensure alignment with Chevron’s digital architecture standards and lifecycle management practices

Desired Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and high-performance computing environments
• Proficient in automation tools such as Python, Ansible, YAML, and asynchronous programming
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and best practices, including CI/CD, Git, and automated testing
• Experience with observability tools, performance monitoring, and structured debugging
• Strong background in Microsoft SQL Server and application architecture
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking skills

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• 10–15 years of experience in SRE or DevOps roles
• At least 5 years of direct experience implementing SRE practices, including error budgets, observability, and automation
• Demonstrated leadership in incident response, monitoring strategy, and postmortem analysis
