Summary

Clinician Nexus is seeking a Lead .NET Software Engineer to own and modernize its mission-critical Student Management Platform. This role combines hands-on development with architectural leadership, focusing on enhancing a legacy .NET system hosted in Azure within a multi-cloud (Azure & AWS) environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Student Management platform. 
• Serve as the primary technical decision-maker for architecture and design. 
• Lead hands-on development, code reviews, and mentoring. 
• Modernize a legacy .NET application by improving performance, scalability, and reducing technical debt. 
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations. 
• Optimize SQL Server through query tuning, indexing, and data modeling. 
• Ensure data integrity, reliability, and system performance. 
• Support cross-cloud integrations with AWS. 
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver scalable solutions. 
• Translate business needs into clean technical designs. 
• Support production issues and lead root cause analysis. 
• Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps initiatives. 

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience. 
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, SQL Server, and Azure. 
• Experience working with and modernizing legacy systems. 
• Strong knowledge of system design, API architecture, and data modeling. 
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and distributed systems. 
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. 

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure and AWS). 
• Exposure to monolith modernization or microservices. 
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD). 
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies. 
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Understanding of cloud security and scalable architectures.
